Who is Joe Stevens
Joe Stevens founded the Moto-X Athlete Development program in 2009 after moving to Australia. With a varied career resume that spans over twenty years, including national podiums in MX and SX as a junior in the UK, competing in the UK Nationals and European championships as a young professional racer, before a two year run in the USA travelling on the IFMA ramp to ramp Freestyle Motocross tour and finally a brief stint racing in the MX Nationals here in Australia. Joe’s roles are now Personal Trainer and riding coach to some of the best riders in Australian Motocross and FMX, along with commentator and TV host for the MX Nationals on NRGTV.
As a former student of the Mike Healey school of Motocross and the infamous Millsap’s Training Facility “MTF” coaching program in the USA, Joe has worked with some of the best coaches in the world. Combined with the many years of professional competition experience and varied bike skill needed to compete in the different disciplines throughout his career has allowed Joe to put together a coaching program to develop riders at every level of the sport.
Joe Stevens has a passion to pass on the wealth of knowledge he has from a long varied career in the sport and progress the next generation of riders to be safe, functional in riding style, develop raw speed and be in a confident and happy mindset heading into each and every event.
